After 5 years and 5 days, this blog still lives, having recently overcome new obstacle. Earlier this year, the person in charge of the technical management of the four sites Pigtails in Paint, Poets and Lovers, Graham Ovenden and Garage Press faced a personal emergency and had thus to give up that work. The four sites fell into different hands. At the beginning of this month, the company hosting Poets and Lovers moved it to another server, but due to error in the update of DNS records, the site was unreachable. After correcting it, the security certificate was faulty and had to be replaced. Finally, the contents uploaded to the new server was from an earlier backup, so the latest posts and images were missing, I had to restore them; this was done 4 days ago.
The three other sites met a worse fate. The domain name of Pigtails in Paint was not renewed, and the owner could not find how to renew it, so the site will be closed for some time. Finally, Graham Ovenden and Garage Press have become unreachable, the connection from Cloudflare to the server times out; in fact, nobody is really in charge of these sites now.
Previously, the posting frequency was one article every 5 days. At the beginning of this year, it decreased to one every 6 days. As I have nearly exhausted the sources of my contents (books, essays, poems or songs about or by younger girls), from now on new articles will appear on an irregular basis. A regular posting frequency could have been maintained if the site had received help from other contributors, in the form of draft articles, or simply suggestions of poems, songs, authors or artists, but I received nothing. Poets and Lovers is now hibernating.
I am very sad over this state of affairs.
Pigtails in Paint has been my absolute favorite website for a very long time. I am sure that many other visitors to THIS site feel the same way.
